About Us
Department of Veterinary Pharmacology and Toxicology was initiated in the year 1960 along with Dept. of Physiology. The department was separated in the year 1980. The postgraduate and PhD programmes were initiated in the year 1964 and 1980 respectively. Till date, 88 students have been awarded MVSc. degree and 18 students PhD degree. The department aims to conduct basic and applied research on Pharmacological and Toxicological aspects of drugs, herbal medicines and environmental pollutants.
